This week has been quite a busy week for pod2g. Just 2 days after our last report of pod2g’s successful iPhone 4 iOS 5.0.1 untether jailbreak, developer and jailbreaker pod2g wrote on pod2g’s iOS blog that the untethered jailbreak is live and well on all A4-based devices (iPad1, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPod 3G, iPod 4G, and Apple TV).
With the entire A4 lineup untethered and ready, it looks like we could expect to hear from the Dev Team about the public release for the Untethered iOS 5.0.1 Jailbreak.
The jailbreak community’s been waiting for a long time for this and if you’re like me and don’t like the restrictions involved with the semi-tethered jailbreak, rejoice (well hold onto your champagnes, wait a bit more until the official public release actually). Although…well I have an iPad 2 and an iPhone 4S, both A5-based, so I guess I won’t celebrate as much. Regardless, it’s exciting news for all of us and we at Digital Cupcake applaud and forward thanks for the hard work by pod2g!
Oh, of course you’ll be hearing from us when the official untethered jailbreak releases to the public. Until then, don’t fall for those sneaky websites that lure you into paying for a jailbreak. Jailbreaks are currently FREE and you could get more information on jailbreaking on iClarified and Dev-Team Blog.
