ZDNET reports that all services are restored and back to normal. Here’s the quote that Verizon sent to James Kendrick (mobile news) at ZDNET:
Verizon Wireless 4G LTE service is returning to normal this morning, after company engineers worked to resolve an issue with the 4G network during the early morning hours today. Throughout this time, 4G LTE customers were able to make voice calls and send and receive text messages. The 3G data network operated normally.

Verizon’s typically reliable network has taken some sort of unidentified hit overnight, which has resulted in a service outage across the United States. Customers of the big red carrier are reporting a lack of 3G and 4G network connectivity from pretty much everywhere: California, Rhode Island, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Nevada, New Jersey, and New York have all apparently been affected. – The Verge

Do you own a Verizon phone and couldn’t access your mails or browse today?
You’re not alone. What’s worse(?) is that we don’t have an ETA for when it’ll be back up.
Phone lines are believed to be unaffected but the lack of data connection would surely be frustrating for those on Verizon’s network. This is actually the second time this month that Verizon customers suffered data outages – the first set of outage took place on Verizon’s 4G LTE data service for 24 hours from December 7 to 8th.
