For those of you that have been waiting for the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich for your Samsung Galaxy Tab and Galaxy S may just be out of luck.
According to Business Insider, Samsung HQ made an official statement regarding any potential upgrade rumors for the Galaxy Tab and the Galaxy S:
A full update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich for the GALAXY Tab(7-inch) and GALAXY S is not practicable due to hardware limitations.
Business Insider published a report back in December about the possibility of a ‘dumbed down value pack’ upgrade for the Galaxy S users; however given Samsung’s track record for providing upgrades for its Android devices, it doesn’t look hopeful at all for any update for these devices.
On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy S2 as well as the Galaxy Tab 10.1 is onboard to receive the Ice Cream Sandwich update (hopefully) by the end of January.
As always, we’ll keep you posted on the latest.
