“Veni Vidi Vici,” said the iOS Super-Hacking “Dream Team”…and yes, they’ve gathered, they’ve seen it, and they’ve conquered.
Here’s a video that pod2g posted up on Youtube earlier this week.
If you’ve been tuning into the jailbreaking community, the long-waited jailbreak of A5 chip has not been a walk in the park. Greenpois0n reports that the A5 jailbreak has been made possible after complex combinations of exploits-within-exploits along with thousands of hours devoted by the best iOS hackers around the globe. Numerous reports of ‘possible’ jailbreak has been looming since the release of the A5 chip back in March however no concrete method of jailbreaking has been proposed…until today.
Download the latest Greenpois0n jailbreak, “Absinthe”, now on the official Greenpois0n website, and I strongly suggest you read more on how the iOS Super-Hacking “Dream Team” was able to achieve this remarkable achievement.
To jailbreak, you would need an iPhone 4S running on iOS 5.0 or iOS 5.0.1, or and iPad 2 running on iOS 5.0.1. Currently the latest Greenpois0n tool is available only on Mac OS X, but Windows and Linux versions is expected very soon.
@posixninja notes that everyone should heed his advice and update to iOS 5.0.1 now. You never know when iOS 5.0.2 would be released and this, of course, would break the jailbreak.
Thank you, iOS Super-Hacking “Dream Team”, for making this happen. Your long hours, dedication and efforts is very much appreciated!!!! Cheers!!
